The Social Emergency Medicine Podcast
The first ever Social Emergency Medicine Podcast Series, brought to you from the American College of Emergency Physicians Social Emergency Medicine Section.
The curriculum is designed to be an introduction to the social determinants of health, their impact, and how to identify and address unmet social needs in the clinical setting.
At the Levitt Center, we offer the notion of Social Emergency Medicine (SEM) as a framework for this expanded perspective. Through research and advocacy, our goal is to expand the practice of emergency medicine to include social context in every encounter and to reach into all corners of our community to reduce the burden of acute illness.
